Rosco introduced its new ImagePro Gobo Slide
Projector™ and won a nearly incredible reception from the lighting and
scenic communities. The IMAGEPRO projects photographic-quality images
for theatrical, television, film or trade show use. Slides of any image
that can be created on a computer are prepared with conventional
printing techniques. But the unique iPro holder, which fits the iris
slot of most modern ellipsoidal reflector spotlights, protects the
plastic slide from degradation.

Turn your theatrical spotlight into a bright, inexpensive image
projector for scenic elements, lighting effects or virtually any other
image you can create on a computer.
If you have ever wanted an easy, inexpensive solution for projecting
photographic quality images, then the Rosco IMAGEPRO answers your needs.
The IMAGEPRO system is comprised of a precisely tooled, drop-in holder;
a series of custom protective filters; and a plastic slide image created
using conventional computer printing technology.
THE SYSTEM
Based on Roscoe's unique Universal Iris Slot holder, the IMAGEPRO fits
into most modern luminaries including the Altman Shakespeare, ETC Source
Four, Selecon Pacific and Strand SL. A cooling fan combined with
layered, reflective filters create a protected environment for the iPro
Slide to survive the extreme heat at the gate of today's efficient
luminaries. Since the temperature at the gate is reduced when the lamp
is dimmed, plug your IMAGEPRO into the same dimmer as the light fixture.
Then as the lamp dims, the fan speed is reduced proportionally. IPro
Slides can be made of virtually any image you can create on a computer.
Printed on a high temperature plastic base using conventional printing
technologies, the iPro slide can project high quality images in full
color and photographic detail previously available only through advanced
projection systems like PANI or from expensive glass gobos.
PERFORMANCE
Tested on fixtures of 600 watts or less at 100%, a typical iPro slide
lasts for 15-50 hours continuously with no degradation of the image. At
50% on dimmer, the life span is virtually infinite. A theatrical
application typically uses the slide for less than one hour per
performance, allowing a single slide to last for up to 30 performances
or more! Poor bench focus of the luminaries will reduce this rating.
(The IMAGEPRO should not be used on a Source Four 750. Damage to the
luminaries reflector may result.)
APPLICATIONS
Theatrical projections: scenic elements, slide projections,
lighting effects; especially suited for situations where budget is a
primary concern.
Trade Show / Industrials: corporate logos, museum signage,
exhibit identification, changeable backgrounds; use in situations that
require temporary projections.
Film and Television: backings, special fx compositions,
multi-colored cookies; iPro slides give a Gaffer tremendous flexibility.

The VARI*LITE® VL1000™ ERS
Luminaire combines the functionality of one of the most popular
conventional lighting tools - the ellipsoidal reflector spotlight -
with the versatility of an automated luminaire.
Automated functions include
CYM color mixing, rotating gobos, variable diffusion, and a zoom
lens that ranges from 19° to 36° for normal imaging and a super zoom
function that ranges to 70°.
Tungsten versions VL1000T and
VL1000TS deliver more than 10,000 lumens with the consistent color
temperature of a tungsten source.
Models VL1000A and VL1000AS
produce more than 15,000 lumens with the higher color temperature of
the 575 watt arc source. These models also include a mechanical
dimmer and a truss mounted, fanless ballast. Models VL1000TS and
VL1000AS include an automated, four-blade shutter mechanism that
provides control of all shutter functions popular in conventional
ellipsoidal reflector spotlights.
