Our Favorite Colors
Using colored gel media on you lights is a must; and yet it can be a
confusing subject to many people, especially causal or first-time stage
lighting users. Color choice is one of the most important elements to
the success of your lighting project , but if you are feeling "dazed and
confused" by the myriad gel variations available, you should do these
two things: First, don't feel alone....we've all been there. Second, ask
Hollywood Lights for help. That's why we are here!
As you light more events, you will eventually develop a "palette" of gel
colors that you not only like personally, but understand how and when to
use. We asked our team of designers to share some of their favorite gel
colors for different uses. Here are a few to get your creative juices
flowing.

Remember, the names of the gel don't always correspond
with the best uses for it, so experience is definitely the best teacher.
In addition to these popular and effective colors, you will find
hundreds more available at Hollywood Lights. Experiment and have
fun with it!
